2019 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Headlight Bulb Size
Completely redesigned from the ground up, the 2019 GMC Sierra 2500 HD introduced a new 6.6L Duramax diesel engine mated to a 10-speed Allison transmission, the ProGrade Trailering system with multiple camera views, the AT4 off-road trim, and an available CarbonPro carbon fiber bed on Denali models. The 2019 GMC Sierra 2500 HD headlight bulb size is H11 for the low beam and 9005 for the high beam, with H11 fog light bulbs on fog-light-equipped trims. LED conversion bulbs for the H11 low beam position install with a twist-lock motion, and the driver unit tucks securely behind the housing. The 9005 high beam position follows the same process. Both sides can be completed in about 25 minutes, and full brightness is immediate with no warm-up needed.
For owners who regularly haul construction equipment, livestock trailers, or hotshot loads, HID conversion kits offer the highest possible beam density for the H11 socket. Each HID bulb pairs with a ballast that mounts in the engine bay, and the resulting beam throw extends well beyond what halogen or LED can achieve at peak output. Plan on about 45 minutes for a full HID installation on both sides.
