Two things decide whether an LED kit performs: getting the right bulb size, and matching it to your housing. Here’s how to nail both.
- Start with your exact fitment. Low beam, high beam, and fog can each take a different bulb (H11, 9005, 9006, H13, and more). Use the Year/Make/Model finder at the top of the page and we’ll hand you the exact kit for every position — no cross-referencing charts, no guessing.
- Projector vs. reflector housing. This is the part most people miss. Projector housings (with a lens) focus an LED’s light cleanly and look fantastic. Reflector housings are pickier — the LED chips have to sit exactly where the halogen filament was, or the light scatters and glares at oncoming traffic. Our kits are built with that filament position right, so they perform in both.
- Color temperature. 6000K is the sweet spot: a clean, bright white that lights the road. Going bluer (8000K+) looks aggressive but actually throws away usable light in rain and fog. Brighter-looking isn’t brighter-seeing.
- Cooling decides lifespan. LEDs still make heat, and heat is what kills them. A quality kit uses a real fan or a serious heatsink to pull heat off the chips; cheap kits skip it and fade fast. Ours are built around proper cooling and backed for life.
- CANbus / error codes. Many European and newer domestic vehicles will flag a “bulb out” warning with LEDs. If that’s yours, you’ll want a CANbus-ready kit or a decoder — the finder will tell you.

How do I know an LED kit will fit my vehicle?
